Bedframe No. 117, inspired by classic Danish furniture design and simplicity, features a base of solid wood. The bedframe appears to float above the finger-jointed legs and the key word around the design is quality and simplicity.
The horizontal cut-outs allows for air circulation, extending the lifespan of the mattress and providing a cooler sleep.
The bedframe is available in four sizes.
Bedframe No. 117 was designed in 2015 by Anders Hay and taps into the essence of Danish Modern with its clean lines, functional design and expert craftsmanship.
Every piece is made in Denmark and individually numbered on final assembly.
Bernh. Pedersen & Søn, a Danish furniture maker, has a long and strong tradition in furniture and cabinetmaking stretching all the way back to the company’s start in 1902. Through three generations the family firm has created and sold classic Danish furniture to many parts of the world. The period 1950 - 1970 in particular was characterized by some of the most stunning and well-executed pieces in Bernh. Pedersen & Søn's history. Especially the classic mid-century sideboards and daybeds designed by Danish furniture designers, including the Danish world-renowned Johannes Andersen, Svend Aage Madsen and Kurt Østervig who were - and still are - highly valued by customers worldwide.
In 2015, great-grandson Thomas Bernhard Pedersen reestablished the company and started focusing exclusively on relaunching some of the exquisite furniture designed in the 50’s and 60’s.

Frequently Asked Questions
Most pieces listed on our website are photographed as-is. With our As-Is pricing we still touch the piece up before shipping and ensure it's structurally solid. If you opt for the full restoration, the piece will be sanded down to remove any chips, dents, or scratches and a fresh coat of stain will be applied. Doors, drawers, and structure are inspected and repaired as needed. Multiple pieces can be refinished to make a matched set. Once we're done you'll receive a like-new vintage piece ready for 60 more years of use.
Absolutely. We offer nationwide shipping on all of our pieces. Delivery is White Glove — we bring the piece into your home and set it up wherever you'd like. You only pay for shipping on your first piece; additional pieces ship for free. You can add pieces at any time, so there's no need to wait to place your full order at once.
Every piece is carefully blanket wrapped before it leaves our warehouse. Our shippers exclusively deliver our furniture and are experienced handling vintage pieces. In the very unlikely event of any transit damage, your piece is fully insured by Modern Hill.
