Frequently Asked Questions

  • Most pieces listed on our website are photographed as-is. With our As-Is pricing we still touch the piece up before shipping and ensure it's structurally solid. If you opt for the full restoration, the piece will be sanded down to remove any chips, dents, or scratches and a fresh coat of stain will be applied. Doors, drawers, and structure are inspected and repaired as needed. Multiple pieces can be refinished to make a matched set. Once we're done you'll receive a like-new vintage piece ready for 60 more years of use.

  • Absolutely. We offer nationwide shipping on all of our pieces. Delivery is White Glove — we bring the piece into your home and set it up wherever you'd like. You only pay for shipping on your first piece; additional pieces ship for free. You can add pieces at any time, so there's no need to wait to place your full order at once.

  • Every piece is carefully blanket wrapped before it leaves our warehouse. Our shippers exclusively deliver our furniture and are experienced handling vintage pieces. In the very unlikely event of any transit damage, your piece is fully insured by Modern Hill.

The Grooviest Designer in Mid Century

Larsen's fabric designs were highly innovative and unique for several reasons: Use of color: Larsen's fabric designs incorporated bold, vibrant colors that were highly unusual for the time. He was known for using unexpected color combinations and his ability to create complex, multilayered designs that incorporated a range of hues. Organic forms: Larsen's designs often featured organic forms, such as leaves, flowers, and abstract shapes, inspired by nature. This emphasis on natural forms was a departure from the more popular geometric and abstract designs at the time. Versatility: Larsen's fabric designs were versatile and could be used in various applications, from upholstery and drapery to fashion and accessories. Innovation: Larsen constantly experimented with new materials, techniques, and technologies, and his designs often incorporated unconventional materials such as metal and plastic.
