The two most collectible Plycraft designs are the Norman Cherner Pretzel chair (1958) and the George Mulhauser Mr Chair and Mrs Chair lounges. The Pretzel chair is characterized by its single molded-plywood seat with a sculpted wooden back rail that forms the signature pretzel outline. The Mr Chair and Mrs Chair are Plycraft’s take on the Eames lounge format, with a molded-plywood shell and vinyl or leather upholstery on a swivel base. Original examples of both designs in good condition command significant collector premiums over reproductions.

Restoration covers wood refinishing on the molded plywood, base hardware service on the Mr Chair swivel mechanism, and seat cushion refilling. Reupholstery is offered on the Mr Chair and Mrs Chair with over 1,500 fabrics to choose from. Some pieces are sold Vintage As-Is. Restoration is entirely optional.
