Frequently Asked Vladimir Kagan Questions

Vladimir Kagan’s most recognized designs are his sculptural curved sofas (the Serpentine line being the best known) and his organic-form occasional tables. Modern Hill regularly carries Serpentine sofas, Snail and Propeller coffee tables, Tri-Symmetric walnut tables, and Corkscrew Swivel chairs from his Kagan-Dreyfuss and Directional Furniture production eras.

Vladimir Kagan passed away in 2016 but select designs continue under license through Holly Hunt, which produces a limited Kagan collection today. The vintage market still has Kagan output from his Kagan-Dreyfuss company (1949 to 1960) and his subsequent contracts with Selig, Preview Furniture, and Directional Furniture from the 1960s through the 1980s. Most of the Kagan pieces we carry come from these vintage production lines, with occasional Holly Hunt licensed pieces also surfacing.
