Frequently Asked Dining Room Tables Questions

Yes. The majority of our dining table inventory consists of expanding tables with one or more leaves that extend to seat 8, 10, or 12 guests. Hidden-leaf and self-storing leaf formats from Hans Olsen for Frem Rojle, Niels Moller, JL Moller, Skovby, Dyrlund, Gudme Mobelfabrik, and Falster Mobelfabrik are particularly common in Danish teak and rosewood. American expanding tables from Broyhill Brasilia, Lane, and Heywood Wakefield use solid walnut with separate-storage leaves. We document the maximum open length, leaf count, and seating capacity on every listing so you can confirm the table fits your dining-room and party-size requirements before purchase.

We sell all three. Round mid century dining tables include the iconic Eero Saarinen for Knoll Tulip format (16+ pieces in our inventory, ranging from 42 to 54 inches), Jens Risom round walnut tables, and Broyhill Brasilia round expanding tables. Oval tables include Arne Vodder for Sibast Danish rosewood expanding ovals and Florence Knoll oval walnut-and-chrome formats. Rectangular tables span the largest portion of our inventory, with expanding leaves common on Edward Wormley for Dunbar, Milo Baughman for Directional, Paul McCobb for Calvin, and most Danish teak production. Yes. For pieces tagged “Restoration Available”, restoration can be added as an option at cart, including leaf mechanism service (cleaning, alignment, glide replacement on expanding tables), wood refinishing, hardware polishing, and cane replacement on tables with cane detail. Some pieces are sold Vintage As-Is. Leaf mechanisms on Danish hidden-leaf tables (Frem Rojle, Skovby, Dyrlund Lotus) are particularly responsive to professional service if they have stiffened over decades. Restoration is entirely optional and we recommend preserving original surfaces on documented designer tables (Eero Saarinen, Jens Risom, Edward Wormley) where originality affects collector value.

Once on the truck, the trip typically takes 3 to 5 days, and the shipper will contact you to arrange the specific delivery date. Local delivery within 25 miles of our Franklin Park warehouse is a flat $150, and local pickup is free. We send order status updates throughout the process so you always know what to expect next.
